Literary Week at Suncity School 37D: ‘Booked for the Week’

Our Literary Week from 7th to 11th July 2025 was an absolute hit, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights! This week kicked off our year-long reading initiative aimed at sparking a lifelong love of books and creativity. Students were encouraged to explore new worlds through books, participate in exciting activities, and reflect on their reading journeys.
Highlights:
823 Completionists: A huge round of applause to the 823 students who fully engaged in the reading challenges and completed their activities!
Winning Grades: Congratulations to Grades 6-8, who stood out for their incredible participation and team spirit. They were awarded special recognition for their efforts, including a fun surprise treat!
Literary Distinction Awards: Ten sections from EYP and PYP earned the Literary Distinction Award for their outstanding engagement in all the activities. A truly well-deserved honor!
DEAR (Drop Everything and Read): Students embraced spontaneous reading moments throughout the school day, making reading a joyous experience.
The week also introduced our Phase II Reading Program, with monthly book lists, reading logs, and fun activities to keep the momentum going.
