July month added juicy flavours by extending the learning of Grade I students, on the importance of eating different coloured fruits and vegetables each day, as part of a balanced diet. The students demonstrated their vibrant edible rainbows and talked about the various fruits and vegetables that give vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Students eagerly showcased their interest and passion about usefulness of colours in a balanced diet like eating red for a healthy heart, orange for eyes, yellow for immune system, green for bones, blue for brains and purple for good memory and anti-aging. The students also demonstrated their favourite things in rainbow coloured fruits and vegetables, thus representing the reasons to enjoy all the different health benefits and delicious food too!
