Adolescence is one of the most rapid and formative phases of human development, and the distinctive physical, cognitive, social, emotional and sexual development that takes place during adolescence demands special attention. The main health issues faced by the adolescents include mood swings, adjustment problems, mental health problems, malnutrition, substance abuse and to the extreme early pregnancy and childbirth, sexually transmitted infection (STI) and other infectious diseases, violence and malnutrition. Taking into consideration all these, a session was organized by our school counsellor, for Grade VI students (boys & girls) on AEP. Emphasis was given on physical, cognitive and emotional changes, nutritional management, menstrual hygiene and stress management in adolescent. Getting accurate knowledge about process of growing up develop healthy attitude and responsible behaviour, were the takeaways of the session. ​
