Educators from Suncity School participated in an enriching JAAL ITIHAAS Teacher Orientation Workshop, organised by ITIHAAS in partnership with the National Water Mission (NWM), Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.
The orientation focused on fostering water literacy, environmental sensitivity, heritage awareness and responsible citizenship through experiential and interdisciplinary learning. Educators explored ways to encourage students to observe, investigate, question, collaborate and take meaningful action towards water conservation and environmental sustainability.
A key highlight was exploring the interconnectedness of water, heritage, green spaces, groundwater and urbanisation, enabling educators to connect classroom learning with real-world environmental challenges.
The orientation equipped educators with the resources and strategies to facilitate 10 JAAL ITIHAAS sessions for Grade VII students, fostering awareness and action around water, heritage and environmental sustainability.
